Gain access to CAGS Backpackers events, share and strengthen your resources, and connect with a community of passionate outdoorswomen and men. Tell us about your group, and we’ll be in touch as soon as our backpacks are unloaded and the laundry is in the machine.

If you’re ready to join a group, visit our Member Directory and reach out to the one that fits your interests. Our members include official council training teams, resident camps with backpacking programs, volunteer-led interest groups, and individual troops. Each group has its own membership requirements and onboarding processes; however, all volunteers must be registered adult Girl Scouts with a completed background check.

CAGS Backpackers connects you with experienced volunteers and leaders who have built programs from the ground up, across California and beyond. We provide start-up strategies, training outlines, manuals, and materials, and can help you connect with your local council. Our coalition is here to support you whenever you need guidance.
