PRESS ROOM

Are you a member of the media looking for backpacking experts to interview or provide quotes? Are you looking for girl or adult Girl Scouts to feature in your media? We've got you covered.

Need Girl Scouts?

If you are interested in featuring Girl Scouts in your media coverage, please refer to the Press Room section of the website of our national organization, Girl Scouts of the United States of America.

For reporters who are working on national stories or need general information, please contact the national office according to their website.

For reporters who are covering local stories, please contact your local council.

Need Backpacking Experts?

If you are in need of backpacking experts to interview or utilize in your media coverage, Girl Scout adult backpackers are qualified, experienced, and ready to help you.

We have members of our coalition who have taken high school students on week long backpacking trips, members who have trained hundreds, if not thousands of Girl Scouts to backpack, members who have hiked all over California and the United States, members who are Wilderness First Responders  (a certification that requires over 80 hours of training), and members with many other relevant credentials.

Please use our contact form to let us know about your needs and a representative from CAGS Backpackers will be in touch shortly with a list of possible experts for you to pick from.

If you are looking to use or feature the Girl Scout name or brand beyond a brief mention of your expert's experience, please refer to guidelines above under "Need Girl Scouts?"
